Dear sweet Finley,
These past nine months have been so incredible to watch you grow and develop into a spunky, joyful little boy. You give our family so much entertainment as we see you transform from a helpless little infant into a very active, mobile, and determined little boy.
My favorite moment is when spontaneously stop playing to exuberantly clap your hands and shout with excitement. You also sing along with mine and Carter’s new game, “Introducing…(insert your name)”, a fun little talent show sparred from a 10 cent microphone garage sale find! We all have a blast playing in water, which you love. I love seeing you splash about screaming and laughing in the bubble bath with big brother. You adoringly smile and burst with surprise when I say, “Where’s Carter?!”. You love crawling as fast as you can towards Harley and then fling yourself on top of him as to say, “come on, wrestle with me!”.
You now have 6 teeth and enjoy all kinds of food. You love sweet potatoes, applesauce, yogurt, squash, and apple puffs. You still love to snuggle best with mommy and chase after daddy just as he is leaving for work. But you love playing with your big brother best. I know it is rough and may hurt your feelings when he is not so kind to you, but remember he does love you and you two will be the best of friends someday.
We love you with all of our heart, sweet boy, and I can’t wait to see you grow even more. I pray that God will give you a spirit of joy and happiness and a sense of comfort that you are a child of His.
With all the love in the world,
Mommy, Daddy, and Carter
